What General Pest Control Covers—and What It Does Not
Last updated: October 2026
SouthCarolina Pest Solutions provides the General Pest Control work described in your estimate or service agreement. Depending on that approved scope, work may include inspection of accessible areas, treatment for listed household pests, and practical steps to reduce conditions that attract them.
The agreement identifies the property, target pests, treatment locations, and any preparation or access requirements. Termite work, wildlife removal, structural repairs, remediation, and other services not listed require a separate agreement. We will not add treatments without your approval.
Services follow applicable pesticide laws and label directions, including the South Carolina Pesticide Control Act, S.C. Code Title 46, South Carolina applicator licensing rules in Regulation 27-1085, and FIFRA restrictions.
Worker protections may include EPA’s Worker Protection Standard (40 CFR Part 170) and OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), as applicable. Pesticide waste is handled under relevant RCRA rules.
The South Carolina Department of Pesticide Regulation, South Carolina Department of Environmental Services, EPA, USDA APHIS, and OSHA have oversight roles as applicable.
Setting, Changing, or Cancelling a Visit
Appointments are arranged with you by phone, email, or another agreed method. We will confirm the planned visit and any preparation, access, or safety steps that apply.
Please provide accurate property details and ensure the technician can reach the agreed treatment areas. If you need to cancel or change a visit, contact us as soon as practical and before the appointment.
Any cancellation fee or notice period applies only if it was disclosed in your estimate or agreement.
Weather, safety concerns, access problems, or operational needs may require us to reschedule; we will contact you to arrange another time. If inspection shows that the requested work differs from the approved scope, we will explain the change and any added cost before proceeding.
A scope change means a change to the pests, locations, or work included in the agreement. We will not perform additional services unless you approve them. Keep confirmation messages and any updated written terms for your records.
How Estimates, Charges, and Payment Work
Your estimate describes the work proposed, the property or areas covered, and the stated charge. It is based on the information available when prepared; an inspection may reveal conditions that affect the recommended work.
An estimate is not approval for tasks beyond its stated scope. Before additional work or charges are added, we will explain the change and obtain your approval.
Payment is due as stated in the estimate, invoice, or service agreement. If those documents do not specify a different time, payment is due upon completion of the visit.
We will provide an invoice showing the amount owed and any approved additions. Please raise billing questions promptly so we can review the service record and correct any confirmed error.
No price, discount, financing plan, or recurring charge applies unless it is stated in writing and accepted by you. Applicable taxes or other required charges will be shown on the estimate or invoice. These terms do not change any payment rights or duties that cannot legally be waived.
Written Coverage and Service Follow-Up
SouthCarolina Pest Solutions does not promise a blanket warranty or a fixed coverage period for all General Pest Control work. Pest activity can continue or return because of entry points, nearby sources, weather, sanitation, construction, or other conditions outside a treatment visit.
Any service follow-up, retreatment commitment, or workmanship coverage applies only when its terms are stated in your written estimate or agreement. That document controls the covered pest, property areas, duration, and steps for requesting service.
Coverage may not apply where a written agreement excludes the condition, access was unavailable, required preparation was not completed, or another person altered treated areas or applied products in a way that affected the work. We will review the facts and explain any applicable written terms before deciding whether a return visit is included or separately chargeable.
Nothing in this section removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive. Contact us with your service record and a description of the concern so we can assess it.
Responsibility for Existing Conditions and Losses
Please tell us about known leaks, damage, sensitive areas, or other conditions before service. Pest activity, moisture, structural defects, and property damage that existed before a visit remain the property owner’s responsibility unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
To the extent permitted by law, SouthCarolina Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim arising from a service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
We perform pesticide work under applicable requirements, including the South Carolina Pesticide Control Act, S.C. Code Title 46, Regulation 27-1085, and FIFRA label directions and restrictions.
Relevant worker-safety rules include EPA’s Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR Part 170, and OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, where applicable. Applicable RCRA rules govern relevant pesticide waste. Nothing here overrides these requirements or an agency’s authority.
Questions About These Service Terms

For changes that affect an existing appointment or accepted scope, we will provide notice and seek your approval where required before proceeding. Updated terms apply to future services after they are made available, unless applicable law requires a different approach.
If a provision conflicts with a signed service agreement for a particular job, that agreement governs the conflicting service detail, subject to applicable law. Please ask us for clarification before approving work if any term is unclear.

Service Expert at SouthCarolina Pest Solutions
I built my pest-control career in Columbia, learning how South Carolina’s humid summers, mild winters, and crawlspace-heavy homes affect pest activity. I started this company to give homeowners clear inspections and treatment plans suited to the conditions they face here.
